Budesti

All we can say about Budesti is that this little town caught God’s eye! And with everything that’s going on spiritually there, one can only say there’s need of divine grace. Our Lord’s protection has been an amazing fact upon which the entire team rejoices. It’s I guess, what you’d call a Divine Full Option Insurance. We have reached the conclusion that everything is prearranged or orchestrated by God Himself. And here’s why we think that:

All the way from Sector 4, Coca, a local woman, led us to Budesti back in 2009.
Here is where we meet gypsies’ families – adults and children – as well as city hall representatives.
Upon making all these new contacts we start a Sunday school program for children, teenagers and a Bible study for adults.
The summer of 2010 was a great time to organize a mobile clinic there, which led us to even more contacts. More people became aware of our presence in Budesti. The weather outside as well as the feelings between the different local groups led us to the idea that we need a place of our own to have our meetings.
January 2011 is the moment where the Budesti Christian Centre, all clean and ready, is open for its guests. The heating system, the cold weather, the little furniture we had, did not stop the adults do come and attend meetings. Through grace they confess their own struggles and some of them are touched by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The children are ever present as they connect with the songs, the Bible stories and the Bible verses.
The results? When God’s people pray, God answers. One of the new believers in Budesti, Claudia, has an answer to her ardent prayer: a job.
Some of our plans for the future include classes on how to approach the gypsy community. Our greatest need though is to be filled up with God’s Spirit in order to encourage, to give and to council those who need it.

Conclusions: God is with us! The war against the human soul is greater than we had imagined. But the victory belongs to our Lord!

“The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:26-28, NKJ)
Please support us in prayer!
