Statement of Faith

  1. We believe that the entire Old and New Testaments are the only verbally inspired revelation of God, inerrant in the original writings. They are the only guide and final authority in matters pertaining to faith and life. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
  2. We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; and that these three are verily one God.
    (Matthew 28:19, 20; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
  3. We believe that man, created in the image and after the likeness of God (Genesis
1:26, 27), fell through disobedience, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is eternal separation from God (Genesis 2:17). All human beings, being born of Adam, are thereby born in sin, “sharpen in iniquity”, (Psalm 51:5), made partakers of this fallen nature (Romans 5:12, 19; 7:18) and are without God and without hope (Ephesians 2:12).
  4. We believe that man can be redeemed from the bondage of sin and eternal death
only through the voluntary, propitiatory death of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross of
Calvary and that His outpoured blood accomplished once for all, complete redemption
    (John 3:17; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Timothy 2:6; Hebrews 10:10,12,15; 1 Peter 1:18-20; 1 John
    2:2).
  5. We believe that man by personal faith, apart from works, is justified freely by God’s grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus and that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, because therein God reckons His perfect righteousness to the account of man on the ground of his faith (Romans 1:16; 3:21, 22; 5:1; Galatians 2:16, 20; Ephesians 2:8, 9).
  6. We believe that Jesus Christ is Himself God (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1; Colossians
1:15-19; 1 John 5:20); that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:34,35); that He received a human body and a sinless human nature (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 2;9; 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22); that He retained His absolute deity, being at the same time very God and sinless man (Philippians 2:6-11; 1 Timothy 2:5). We believe that “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18) and that He is crowned with glory and honor (Hebrews 2:9).
  7. We believe that the Holy Spirit is Himself God (Acts 5:3,4); that He was sent to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16:7-11); that He regenerates believers (Titus 3:5); that in this age of grace He baptizes them into the Body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head (1 Corinthians 12;13; Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:29-30), that he seals and indwells every believer unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13; 4:30), desiring to fill each one with His fullness according to Ephesians 5:18; Acts 6:3; 11 ;24. He works towards the perfecting of the saints, transforming them into the likeness of Christ (Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Colossians 1:28), which work of the Spirit will be completed when the Lord comes for His church (Philippians 3:20, 21; 1 John 3; 1-3).
  8. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22,23); the company of believers born again of the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 12:13,27); some on earth and some in heaven (Ephesians3:15); each member known to Him (John 10:14; 2 Timothy 2:19); that the ministry of the Church is to preach the Word in order that God may take out from among the nations a people for His Name (Acts 15:14) and out from among Israel believing Jews (Romans 11:5) to form of both believing Gentiles and Jews one new man in Christ (Ephesians 2:13,18), that the church will be gathered unto the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53); and presented by the Lord Jesus Christ unto Himself a glorious Church not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing (Ephesians 5:25-27); that each member of the Church will be judged and receive from the Lord, reward or loss for deeds done in the body, whether good or bad (1 Corinthians 3:6-15; 9:6-18, 25-27; 2 Corinthians 5 :9,10; Philippians 3:13,14); that the Church will return with the Lord when He comes to set up His kingdom on earth (1 Thessalonians 3:13; Revelation 19:14; 20:6; Psalm 2:7-9; Isaiah 65:17:25; Zechariah 14:9); that those members of the Church who suffered with the Lord will have the honor (Romans 8:17) as administrators in His kingdom, of reigning with Him (2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 3:21), and judging angels and the world (1 Corinthians 6:1-3).
  9. We believe that Satan is an angelic personality (Isaiah 15:12; Ezekiel 28:15); that he is the arch-enemy of God and man (1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:9); that the Lord Jesus Christ, through His death on the cross of Calvary, deprived Satan of his power (Hebrews 2:15); that this enemy of God still works to frustrate God’s purpose (2 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 6:12); that the child of God through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ can overcome him (Romans 7:24,25; 8:37: Revelation 12:11); and that finally he will be cast into the lake of fire forever (Revelation 20:7-10).
  10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of believers and unbelievers, the one unto eternal life, and the other unto eternal punishment (Daniel 12:2; John 5:28, 29: Revelation 20:4, 5, 11-15).
